Talk to anyone, and I can guarantee they have had an experience with cancer. Mine involved my uncle passing away from prostate cancer the same year I graduated from high school. Being young when he passed, I didn't know him very well, but watching how his sickness and death effected my family transformed cancer from an abstract idea into a very real thing. I, like many others, know too well that cancer affects everyone, and how urgent it is that a cure is found.
