Lori Jakubow
Williamsburg VA

My husband, Jake, was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and died three months later in July 2008 at the age of 51.
My children and I watched in shock and horror as he suffered and then disappeared before our helpless eyes.
It is too late for our family, but in Jake's memory, I pray that real hope for others will be available through funding, research, and early detection of this killer cancer.

Bio
Lori Jakubow is a painter and printmaker from Williamsburg, Virginia. Her work is strongly figurative, with bright color and expressive in its bold mark making. You will see the influences from classical architecture, sculpture, and portraiture, with the human form prominent as subject matter. Lori often experiments with textural elements in her art by adding thick paint, fabric, and wax.
Lori earned a BA in Studio Art from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, with concentrations in both oil painting and life drawing, and a minor in Human Development. She is a designer, instructor, and a Virginia SWaM certified business, small, minority, and women-owned.
