Bio: Armando Luna, from Houston, TX is Principal Teacher of the Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education and Co-Director of the Atlanta Ballet Centre Theatre. He received his early training from Margo Marshall, Soili Arvola, and Leo Ahonen. Mr. Luna’s professional career spans over 25 years and continues to perform character roles with the Atlanta Ballet. Throughout his professional career, Mr. Luna danced leading roles with Atlanta Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Ballet Met, and Ballet Austin. He partnered Ballerina’s Cynthia Gregory in George Balanchine’s “Divertimento No. 15” and Mariana Tcherkassky in Lynn Taylor-Corbett’s “Great Galloping Gottschalk.” Mr. Luna has enjoyed nurturing his students from the classroom to such notable companies as the Atlanta Ballet, Alabama Ballet, Texas Ballet Theatre, Ballet Nouveau Colorado, Milwaukee Ballet, and the New York City Ballet. Mr. Luna has choreographed many works for the Centre Theatre and School, and created works for Emory University, Agnes Scott College, Goucher College, and Texas Christian University. Mr. Luna is currently seeking a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Kennesaw State University.
